In the summer, I hold three-hour brainstorming seminars on the weekends in my spacious garden or over Zoom if not local to Berkeley, CA, which will generate all the content that is needed for 25–35 college entrance essays that each student usually writes in the fall semester. Moreover, I provide the student with a clear framework to organize all this information. This is the perfect way to avoid procrastination and begin tackling the momentous task of applying to colleges.

College Essay Guidance

After completing my brainstorming seminar for college entrance essays, students will have generated a lot of interesting information about themselves, but they still need guidance on how to strategically insert this content into their essays and ultimately begin college entrance essays.

Full-Service Assistance

From the seminars, I usually work on a one-to-one basis with a few students, shepherding them through the entire writing process of their college entrance essays and supplemental application information. Because this help is so time-consuming, and the students receive unlimited hours of help, I can only provide this assistance to a few students. Also, in order for me to provide effective college entrance essay assistance, the students need to feel comfortable talking with me about personal matters, which is why these students universally approach me to ask for this further, all-encompassing, professional assistance.

Hourly Assistance

I also provide this assistance on an hourly basis. However, hourly support is recommended only if the student feels confident that they are using the best content for each essay since hourly assistance usually precludes me from taking a holistic view of the student and their essays.
